Activities

The location of Can Muní, in the center of Ampurdan and at the same time very well connected to the main roads, allows for enjoying multiple activities.

Cycling

Cycling through vineyards and pine forests, stopping to rest in small medieval villages and historical monuments is one of the main activities in Ampurdan, which offers easily accessible routes such as Pirinexus and Vies Verdes, which guarantee the safety of users. At Can Muní we can facilitate access to the rental of electric and mechanical bicycles.

Horse riding

We love horses, and that’s why we dedicated ourselves to equestrian tourism for 20 years. We spent many hours on horseback showing routes around Ampurdan and its surroundings.
We still love horses, and that’s why the paddocks, track, and stables are still available.
If you are one of us, let’s talk. You can stay at Can Muní, and your horse can too.

Medieval towns

Ampurdan is full of small medieval villages that constitute small treasures to discover. From Can Muní, just a 5-minute drive away, you can start a tour that will take you through Saus, Sant Mori, Vilahur, and Sant Miquel de Fluvià. And within 20 minutes, you can begin the Empordanet route: Rupià, Corçà, Monells, Cruïlles, La Bisbal d’Empordà, Canapost, Peratallada, Pals. Eight villages where you can stop and where time seems to have stopped.

Beaches and coves

From Can Muní, within a 20 to 30-minute drive, you can reach beautiful beaches and coves of the Costa Brava, such as Sant Martí d’Empúries, Sant Pere Pescador, or the Gola del Ter. These are very spacious beaches with fine sand, and the best part is that finding a parking spot is not impossible. Some of our favorites are El Portitxol Beach, Les Muscleres Beach, Riuet Beach, or Fonollera Beach. And for coves, there is Cala Montgó. And if you don’t mind driving a bit further, about 50 minutes away by car, you can visit Cadaqués and Cap de Creus, which are well worth the trip.

Gastronomy

The cuisine of the Ampurdan region is well-known for its dishes as well as its wines. It’s an area where you can still enjoy high-quality local products such as vegetables from the garden, rice, cuttlefish and squid, rock fish, or Girona meat. And there are more and more gastronomic and wine-related events throughout the year that allow you to discover Ampurdanese cuisine in a fun way. And if you want to know more, ask us for a list of our recommendations when you arrive at Can Muní.
